Fear of Flying

Avoiding air travel indefinitely means resigning yourself to missed holidays, family gatherings and other priceless experiences.

The Problem

Each year, this common phobia causes millions of people needless distress. One in seven people deliberately avoid commercial air travel and for some the feelings of fear are so intense it is effectively a phobia: an unwarranted automatic fear response to the idea or the reality of air travel.

To add insult to injury, many fear-of-flying courses expose people to their fear over and over again — sometimes for a period of weeks — which is totally unnecessary.

Clinically known as "aviophobia" or "aerophobia," fear of flying is far more than a healthy concern about airline safety. Rather, it's a significant inhibitor that can cause panic attacks and keep people apart from loved ones and business associates. Symptoms typically include shortness of breath, rapid breathing, irregular heartbeat, sweating, nausea, and overall feelings of dread.

The Solution

brain-train aims to combat problems of sweating, shaking, palpatations and urges to escape from the plane before take off. We refuse to take people who are "forced" on this therapy by others". Clients must want to overcome their fear of flying.

Overcoming a fear or phobia makes you feel powerful and in control of your own mind. It builds self-confidence in other areas and builds self-esteem. You will feel liberated and in control. Now the problem can be gone for less than the price of a round-trip airline ticket.

  • Fly relaxed & confident in just a few hours.
  • Lose that nasty, overwhelming feeling of fear of flying — fast.
  • No flying involved, no need to "face your fear".
  • No drugs, no exercises, no classes.

With brain-train you'll rapidly train your unconscious mind to connect different, positive feelings to the stimuli that used to trigger the fears of flying. And if you're one of those people who has been playing a mini-disaster movie in their mind you'll find the screen goes blank. The movie will never play again. Once the unconscious mind feels safe and learns how to respond appropriately, it will always know - so the results are permanent. Fear of flying is gone. Forever.

The suggestion that your subconscious mind receives, is that aeroplanes represent a threat to you. So, the next time you take a flight your subconscious mind puts out feelings of panic and anxiety to try to keep you away. Even though this behaviour can seem irrational your subconscious mind still carries on reacting in the same way because it thinks it is protecting you (the primary function of your subconscious mind is to protect you). It may be that you have not had a bad flying experience but are still afraid. This is normal and is probably because flying is a very unnatural thing for us to do. NLP & Hypnosis enables you to communicate with your subconscious mind and can therefore re-evaluate your behaviour and allow your subconscious mind to see that aeroplanes do not represent a threat to you now. You can then adopt a more rational response and become more calm and relaxed in general.

Safety

Flying is the safest mode of transport. It is the drive in the car to the airport which is the dangerous part. You have more chance of being killed by a "donkey" than a plane.

Pilots and Air traffic controllers ensure the safety of over two million aviation passengers per day – over 700 million people per year. They use their skills and judgment to help safely fly and direct aircraft to their destinations. They are all highly trained and trusted professionals.

Your plane is a mechanical marvel . The plane is strong, stable, reliable and well maintained. Modern jet aircrafts are designed and built with large safety margins. They have built-in stability making it impossible for them to tip over. All aircrafts and their equipment are built from approved designs and approved systems. Coming out of the factory, the planes are thoroughly tested before certification. They are structurally very sound and able to withstand many times the pressures and forces imposed on them.

The Weather - modern advances in weather information technologies make avoiding bad weather a "breeze". While turbulence may be annoying, it is somewhat common to experience a little turbulence on a typical flight. You must understand that turbulence will not harm the aircraft, and it will not make it crash. Remember, before the flight, you can ask the pilots about expected turbulence.

Very low accident rates:

Over 18 year period - (1982-1999) Average Fatal Accident Rate for Major Airlines:

* 0.0432 Accidents per 100,000 departures

* 1 accident for every 2,300,000 departures

* Only 0.0000000004% odds of being in an accident each time you fly!

The British Airways Authority (BAA) & The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) are responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and secure use of the entire British & US aviation systems. They are also responsible for the certification and inspection of airline operations, workers, the security of airports, and the air traffic control systems. They monitor every aspect of aviation. They perform routine and surprise inspections looking at every detail of an airline's operation. What are we saying? “It’s as safe as houses…”
